North Carolina- Fresh Water Wetlands and Stream Restoration
North Carolina has encountered some of the greatest mitigation credit trading of any state in the US over the last 5 years. Management of the credit system has both a "free market" system as well as a very formidable and well managed system of managing credits on behalf of public projects. Specifically, they have formed NC EEP which is a repository and agent primarily for the acquisition/sale of credits on behalf of the Department of Transportation. GreenVest has two major projects in NC that have tremendous ecological benefit. Please note that these banks have the potential or are approved for wetland, stream and nutrient credit values.
