Doug Schneider

Doug is responsible for managing our Field Operations and in-house ArcGIS environmental mapping production. Additionally, he’s an NJDEP-licensed Forest and Aquatic Pesticide Applicator. Doug has a strong background in field operations, landscape-based construction, and public open space management and maintenance.

His direct project experience in GIS includes completing numerous projects for Washington County Pennsylvania Travel and Tourism, as well as the Allegheny Pennsylvania Police Department. Doug gained years of valuable and direct natural resources management experience while working for both the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) and New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. While at DFW, he was responsible for a pheasant-stocking program that stocked over 55,000 individual birds across New Jersey. His duties included collection of eggs, care for the adult birds as well as chicks, maintenance and repair and transfer/release of these birds into NJ Wildlife Management Areas. Doug also previously managed greenhouse operations at a regional NJ-based nursery optimizing the cultivation of native and ornamental species of vegetation. His duties included soil blending to maximize optimal planting medium composition, maintenance of ideal atmospheric conditions, daily care ensuring optimal growth of all nursery stock and identification and eradication of pests and disease. Additionally, he served as Recreation Director for a PA-based lake community where his duties included directing and managing a crew of 40+ seasonal employees, and preparing and implementing annual management plans and budgets for all community activities.

He holds a B.S. in Geographic Information Sciences/Emergency Management and a B.A. in Parks and Recreation Management, both from California University of Pennsylvania. Doug is based out of our New Jersey office.
