Community Resource Page – Eagle Harbor

The Eagle Harbor Stream Restoration and Community Resiliency Project is being implemented by the Town of Eagle Harbor, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Prince George’s County Department of Environment and GV-Petro Joint Venture, LLC (a partnership between GreenVest and Petro Design Build Group). The Project represents a solution for the long term flooding and erosion problems that have plagued the Town of Eagle Harbor, MD. The Project will include approximately 3,100 linear feet of stream restoration and drainage improvements extending from the Patuxent River to the headwater tributaries of Coleman Creek, and two culvert replacements within the Town of Eagle Harbor (The Town). The Town has experienced nuisance flooding, which has worsened over time with increased frequency and intensity of storm events. The flooding is exacerbated by outdated and undersized culverts unable to handle frequent storm flows.
