Joe is a graduate from the University of Maryland College Park and earned his B.S in Environmental Science & Technology: Eco Tech Design. He has over 2 years of project management experience with multiple nonprofits and a year of experience as an Ecological Restoration Technician. His skill sets include systems ecology, soil science, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, site layout, invasive species management, and construction oversight. Most recently, he worked as a Restoration Technician for Ecotone Inc., where he installed and oversaw erosion and sediment controls, shot elevations for landscape grading, and managed pump systems for multiple restoration projects. Prior to that, Joe was an Assistant Project Manager at the National Nonprofit KaBOOM!, where he managed hundreds of volunteers in playground construction projects across the country. Additionally, he’s worked for the National Park Service, where he modeled and quantified the ecological benefits of trees in the National Capital Region.
When he’s in the office, Joe’s work focuses on the use of GIS and AutoCAD to conceptually design and visualize project maps and figures. His responsibilities on-site include technical oversight and support in project design, construction, maintenance, and monitoring. He is based in our Maryland office.
