Laura has over 7 years of experience as an environmental scientist, with a focus on water resources. Most recently she worked in the stream restoration field for an engineering consulting company, contributing to all project phases including site assessment, design, construction oversight, and post-construction monitoring. Prior to that, Laura worked at a nonprofit watershed association managing the organization’s water monitoring programs including chemical, biological, and visual stream monitoring. Additionally, Laura has extensive experience in environmental education with youth and adults in classroom and field settings.
Laura received a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and a Masters of Environmental Management with a concentration in Coastal Environmental Management from Duke University. Her masters project focused on bacterial impairment of shellfish waters, the TMDL process, and alternative methods to improve water quality. Laura is certified in Rosgen Levels 1 and 2. She is based in our Maryland office.
