At GreenVest, it’s important that our team members are engaged in their local and professional communities, and our General Counsel, Dana Cooper, does just that. Dana recently completed a year as Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s (MSBA) Environment and Energy Law Section, having been a member of the Section Council for several years. She values how the Section provides lawyers from all parts of the environmental bar the opportunity to form collegial relationships and learn from each other. Dana led the Section through the challenges of maintaining professional connections during COVID-19, and remains involved in the Council as Immediate Past Chair.
To end her term, Dana coordinated a panel for the Section’s annual business meeting, in which other environmental law professionals discussed recent environmental and energy legislation introduced to the General Assembly. Dana and the speakers discussed the strengths and shortcomings of the groundbreaking movements, and their associated success.
The MSBA recently featured Dana in the Maryland Bar Journal, where she talked about her career, her work with GreenVest, and more. Read the full interview here.
